Due Process mechanism started in Kaduna State with the passage of the Law in May, 2007 that gave birth to the Bureau of Budget Implementation, Monitoring and Price Intelligence (BBIM&PI). The Law ensures that all procurement/contracts openness, transparency, accountability, competition, cost effectiveness and value for money (VfM). On 1st June, 2016 a Law was passed by Kaduna State House of Assembly as Kaduna State Public Procurement Law No.12 of 2016 after assent of the Kaduna State Governor Mal. Nasiru El-Rufai that gave birth to Public Procurement Authority, with the passage of this Law, Kaduna State has keyed in to the international best practice in procurement.
This is a giant stride by this administration in its resolve to enthrone probity, prudence and judicious utilization of the initial resources available to Government.
